Protesters of California’s Proposition 8 (the marriage amendment) shoved aside a 69-year old woman bearing a cross, reportedly spit on her and stomped on her cross.  … Prop. 8 supporter, Jose Nunez, 37, was brutally assaulted while distributing yard signs to other supporters after church services. … Calvary Chapel Chino Hills was spray painted by vandals, after they learned that the church served as an official collection point for Prop 8 petitions. … A pro-homosexual, pro-anarchy organization named Bash Back marched into the middle of a church service, flinging flyers and condoms to the congregants and hanging a banner from the balcony that featured two lesbians in provocative positions at the pulpit.

Do you think that I (or other Christians) are going to re-think our support for your lifestyle choices when you attack Christians, or desecrate our churches and services?

You’re not.

In fact, your hatred and bigotry is+ just pissing me off.

And, you’re pissing off millions of others — many of whom would otherwise practice the tolerance that you preach and demand.

By your actions, you put on the “hypocrite” label that you hang on our necks.  You demonstrate the debauchery and evil that some already associate you and your lifestyle with.

You lower yourself to the level of those you condemn, and make me wonder whether you even see it…

Do you like the feeling of being persecuted by a society that is unaccepting of your ways?  To those of you who support abortion rights, does a bombing of an abortion clinic, or violence against a worker or doctor, make you re-think such support?  I wouldn’t think so.

So, if you want me, or other Christians, to re-think what you believe to be our prejudices against you, then knock off that hysteria, theatrics and attacks.

Otherwise, you just prove that you’re the belly-crawlers that many religious people think you to be.
