CatholicSphere Monday

Not much time to write too much again today. Have a number of things I’ve got to get accomplished, so here’s a few quick hits …

The Sopranos finale. Didn’t see it. Didn’t care. Have seen the first 5 episodes. Will probably pick it up via DVD at some point, but don’t know when. Have to catch up on ‘24′ also — watched this past season, but had watched not a single episode previously.

Have to admit being a bit stumped by this Alberto Gonzalez “No Confidence” vote that is being called for. He fired some (8) federal prosecutors. Perhaps it has some political purpose serving President Bush. As I recall … President Clinton fired all the prosecutors. But that wasn’t the “dirty laundry” that brought on the impeachment process. Maybe ‘Al’ should have gotten rid of everyone?

Haven’t listened to this yet …. but will when I get a chance: “The Mom Cast” has a podcast on “Episode 13: Parenting My Teen - Homeschooling through High School”. Sounds interesting. If you listen before I do, leave a comment on what you think.

Here’s something else I’m anxious to read … Insight Scoop has “Was The Joint Declaration Truly Justified?” (nice word play, Carl!)

The document elicited a wide range of responses, with some Protestants (Lutheran and otherwise) and Catholics believing it marked the end of any substantial disagreements about justification, while others–again, both Protestant and Catholic–were not convinced that the document answered satisfactorily a number of substantial questions.

BYOB TwistedBring us a beer, we’ll give you a bag, and then come back for the party and drink your beer.

I don’t care … dancing in church sucks. If you wanna dance, do it at home or at a club or on TV … not at a church service.

And finally, Paris Hilton was returned to prison on Friday … and I don’t care at all about that (even enough to pull up a link).

  1. Thanks, Matt, for the link and kind words. I had about ten different titles before arriving at that one. Prof. Malloy gives an excellent and very thoughtful interview.

BTW, who is this “Paris Hilton” you refer to? Isn’t that a hotel in France?
