Just two quick thoughts on the developments of the past day or two in the Virginia Tech incident…

1. I think NBC should have shown more discretion in releasing the gunman’s video. Too much. Too soon.

2. I also think that the discussions of the ramifications of the Virginia Tech policy banning the carrying of concealed weapons on campus (Virginia is a “conceal-and-carry” state) and how it could have reduced the fatalities is too soon.
