CatholicSphere Music: Falling Up
I’ve become a big fan of Pandora for listening to, and finding new, music. It is a great resource in finding music of similar artists that one might not otherwise hear.
Though I didn’t discover this band on Pandora, I’ve had the chance to hear more of their music there.
The band is Falling Up. You can visit their official site or even listen to some full-length songs on their MySpace site.
A Christian rock band, I really enjoy their sound. The wikipedia article describes their name this way:
The band’s name is derived from the first song they wrote, which refers to how imperfect people are, but how sufficient the grace of God is to compensate for it. In harmony with their name, their lyrics are heavily grace-themed.
They have a style similar to another band that I really like, Kutless.
Give both Falling Up and Kutless (MySpace) a listen. And, incidentally, if you want, you can listen to either my “Uplifting Rock” station on Pandora or My Station on Yahoo! music. The only drawback is that both play music that I have not yet given either a thumbs-up or thumbs-down to … so its not going to play only music I like or music that fits the Christian genre.
