Is there room?

During the Christmas season, many of us get busy with shopping, cooking/baking, cleaning, working or going to Christmas parties. In some cases, there hardly seems time to sit down. Before we know it, Christmas Day is here … and then its gone.

When we finally sit down on the evening of December 25th, after the family and friends have gone, and nothing more is expected of us (until December 31st when many will put on our party hats to ring in the New Year), and breath a sigh of relief … what will we see when we look back?

Perhaps we will see the family, friends and neighbors we greeted, the presents we gave to others, the smiles and bright eyes that we helped create through our gifts, hugs and kisses.

Or, maybe we’ll look back and think of loved ones missed, or that were missing this year (for whatever reason).

But, will we find Jesus? Will we find the Holy Child in the manger, His parents looking down lovingly? Will we have found Christmas, or missed it?

Joseph asked and was told there was no room at the inn.

Will we find that there was no room in our lives for Him this Christmas?
