More than a little mischief occurred in Grand Forks, North Dakota …

The investigation into the Friday burglary at Grand Forks’ Carmike 10 theater continued Monday.

Theater personnel discovered that 20 lenses were missing Friday afternoon, preventing the showing of films in Carmike 10 that night. Friday was the opening for “The DaVinci Code,” a much anticipated and controversial film. The show did go on, however, with alternate show times at the Columbia 4, another Carmike Cinemas property in Grand Forks.

Carmike 10 was up and running again less than 24 hours after the theft, but the lenses were not recovered, according to lead investigator Grand Forks Det. Mike Flannery.
