I'm glad you posted this... I just had to spend $140 to get my computer fixed because of spyware I picked up. 

To add to your important warning, do not ever download "free" programs, screensavers, or anything-- there is an excellent chance of spyware or viruses being attached to them. This is why I no longer use Kazaa. 
Also, if you get a pop-up that offers to scan your computer for spyware and adware, don't click on it (it will *install* spyware rather than get rid of it).</description>
