Alito’s “Judicial Philosophy”?

Over at Jimmy Akin’s blog is a post on Alito & Abortion. In it, Jimmy talks about being “disturbed by some of the things I’ve been hearing about SCOTUS nominee Samuel Alito, including previous abortion decisions he’s been involved in.” And, that “looking at his overall judicial philosophy is so important.”

I guess the thing is, what is Judge Alito’s “judicial philosophy?” My own readings are mostly limited to Planned Parenthood v Casey (and I intend to read other decisions as I can), but I actually thought his ruling made sense - no matter it being based on his interpretation of O’Connor’s “undue burden” test. It demonstrates at least one instance where the decision is based on an interpretation of the law that even a “regular joe” could see. Go figure that everyone would think him a “pro-life zealot” simply because he thinks that, in a “normal marriage”, a husband should at least be notified. And, Planned Parenthood would have everyone think of me as an abuser of women because I agree with that.

Of course Alito’s record will be distorted.
The abortion industry has alot at stake.
