I’ve seen the films, but have not read the books. I have to admit that I’m undecided about what to make of these books. I see points on both sides …
These are supposed to be books of fantasy and fiction … but, when they translate into interest in sorcery and witchcraft, and also to believe that the means to achieve something good is inconsequential (as happens in Rowling’s world), is troublesome.
If the books are left in the “land of make-believe” .. then I think they are harmless …. but, if ethical decisions are being made from them, or it peaks interest in the occult … then there is harm there.
Parents need to be aware, need to look for danger signs, and take action. When it comes to those succeptable to the lure of the occult, parents need to take care.
